First episode of “Rastano” was aired on Saturday 16 Bahman at 20:30 on Iran National TV channel 4 (IRIB TV4). This episode hosted Dr. M. Abdehzadeh, Director General of Syndicate of Iranian Holders of Human Pharmaceutical Industries and CEO of Aryogen Pharmed and exemplary pharmaceutical exporter, Dr. Amir Farshchi. Dr. Farshchi addressed the pharmaceutical industry’s export status and discussed the issues pharmaceutical exporters have to deal with. He stated that if more attention is directed toward value and value creation in the field of biotechnology, this field will be appreciated more conscientiously in comparison with oil industry and export will become of high priority not only in pharmaceuticals but all related sections. Export means foreign exchange earnings and contributes to a country’s sovereignty. If this topic is not subjected in major policies and will not become a major priority for the country, no significant moves can be made by our companies and the activity will be limited to a small business.
