Indonesian government requests for the life-saving drug Tocilizumab, as well as the corona vaccine produced by the CinnaGen Pharmaceutical Group, through the transfer of technology and manufacturing knowledge of these drugs to this country.
During the Indonesia Health Business Summit, attended by Health Ministry officials and special guests, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of America, three main pillars were discussed:
– Currency savings in the health system,
– Production cooperation of Tocilizumab and Corona vaccine supply.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis and the shortage of vital drugs needed such as tocilizumab and vaccines, the Indonesian government is determined to produce these products in its own country.
In this regard, Indonesian officials demanded the transfer of technology for the production of Tocilizumab under the brand name Temziva and Corona vaccine under the brand name SpikoGen, which are currently produced in the CinnaGen pharmaceutical group.
